Offerings of the faithful over the centuries, hundreds of small Buddha images line the recesses of the perimeter walls of Wat Phra That Lampang Luang.   A Wat is a collection of building in an enclosure that serves as a Buddhist monastery, temple, and community center.  There are over 30,000 wats in Thailand.
